Lotus Herbals Strawberry Lip Balm ~ Review & Swatch

VOV GiveAway Entry  Post – VI

By Jasmine Bhatia

Hi everyone,

I am Jasmine and today I am going to do a guest post on Lotus Herbals Strawberry lip balm!!

Lotus Herbals Lip Balm - Strawberry

I don’t like to use lipsticks so my alternative is lip balms, I love using them. So a few months ago, I was at a shopping mart in the skin care section and I saw this balm. I have never tried lotus herbals lip balm before so I thought to myself…let’s just pick it up..it looks nice !!TongueOut

This little lip balm comes in a tub at Rs. 125 for 5 gm.

What it claims

The lip balm's highly active moisturizing formula helps to repair dry, cracked and chapped lips and protects them from the drying effect of cold, dry winds of winter, making them looks look healthier and smoother.

Directions for use

Apply evenly to lips as necessary. Use twice daily.

Key Ingredients:

Strawberry Extract, Honey, Jojoba Oil and Almond Oil

My Take On It

Let me first give you a brief about the texture of my lips. I have normal lips which only tend to dry out when I am thirsty or out for a long time or in winters.

Well, I have a love hate relationship with this lip balm. I mean I like it for a lot of reasons and I hate it for a few reasons too!!

Swatch

I do find it moisturizing but then one has to keep on re-applying after every hour which I hate. It doesn’t last long maybe because I have a habit of licking my lips very often or maybe it’s not as hydrating as it claims to be.

I like its mild strawberry fragrance and it has a nice red tint to it which looks very natural.  The texture is nice and somewhat jelly like, it’s a bit glossy but not at all oily.

The Pros:
  • The fragrance is beautiful.
  • The red tint looks very natural.
  • It’s not oily.
  • Heals minor cracks on the lips.
  • Good value for money.
The Cons:
  • Needs to be reapplied after every hour.
  • Unhygienic tub packaging
  • The gloss wears off in almost half an hour
  • Not meant for people who have dry lips

Will I Repurchase it

I don’t think think so, I would rather try a new brand !
