VOV GiveAway Entry Post – XIV
By Jasmine Bhatia
Though I am not much of a makeup person, I ordered this lovely stick in my recent Avon haul because I liked the idea of using one product in 3 different ways.
About the product
Well it’s from Avon’s simply pretty range and it claims that it can be used as a lipstick, blush and as an eye shadow.
Glides on smoothly & blends easily leaving a smooth, silky finish.
- Contains Vitamin A and E
- Dermatologist tested
Simply use it as a lipstick, or put some dots on your cheeks and blend well for a blushed look, use it as an eye shadow.
Price & Quantity
2gms for Rs 179. (I got it for Rs 149 in offer)
My take on the Stick
Shade: Maple Syrup
Fragrance: It has negligible clay like fragrance which is non bothering.
Well the texture of this one is a bit tough to describe: it’s matte but more drying than the usual matte lipsticks.
On the Lips
It’s rather powdery on lips and a bit tough to glide as well. If you want full coverage for the lips then I think almost 3 swipes are needed.
For best results, apply a lip balm on your lips and then use this stick.
On the Cheeks
I used it by putting around 4 or 5 dots on my cheeks and then blended it well. The key is to moisturize your face at least 5 minutes before using it. It gives a nice natural tint on cheeks making the face look radiant.
Well to be true I just used it twice, because I am not very good with eye makeup. The first time I didn’t blend it well so the results were not as good. Second time I blended and kept blending it with my finger till it looked natural. It looks nice and can be worn daily for a minimal or no makeup look.
- It’s a 3 in 1 stick.
- Comes in handy.
- Easily available.
- It’s a bit dry.
- It doesn’t last long.
- Makes the lips extremely dry.
- Doesn’t Glide smoothly as claimed!!
Would I repurchase it?
I don’t think so.
