Maybelline Colossal Volume Express Mascara ~ Review, Swatch and Picture Demo

Maybelline Colossal Volume Express Mascara Claims:
  • Waterproof mascara
  • Upto 7x more volume
  • Instantly in just one coat
  • No clumps
  • Collagen enriched formula
Maybelline Colossal Volume Express Mascara
Price: 330 INR for 10.7ml

Look & Feel:

  • Package: A bright eye-catching yellow big plastic tube. The wand comes out easily from the tube. It's a pretty convenient packing.

Package

  • Applicator: The wand's length is convenient but I prefer a thinner wand for better grip and easy application. The bristles are packed appropriately for separating and volumizing the lashes.

Wand

  • Odour? None
  • Texture: The formula is with the right consistency and smoothness to give non clumping lashes. However it feels a little heavy on lashes. One can feel the presence of mascara through out the day.

Effects:

  • Lengthening? Can notice lengthening with 3-4 coats.
  • Volumizing? Gives full lashes with two coats but for dramatic lashes one needs 3-4 coats.
  • Drying Time? No doubt it dries soon but surprisingly it feels sticky to touch as long as it's on the lashes.

Demo

  • Curls? No it doesn't. One needs to use an eye lash curler separately to open the eyes.
  • Lasting Power? Till cleansed with a make-up remover.
  • Waterproof? Yes no messy bleeding for watery eyes and helpful in the monsoons.
  • Finish? Lashes look full but the mascara looks too obvious. I prefer lashes to look long and full with a natural effect.

Final Note: For ladies with long but sparse lashes this would be useful to add volume. But for people like me who needs Curling+Volumizing+Lengthening in 2 coats this will not be sufficient. "7X volume in one coat" claim is a farce

  5. I think you are applying too much of the product.....so you end up feeling heavy. Use less, try eyelash curler for curling effect
