Schwarzkopf BC Bonacure Moisture Kick Spray Conditioner ~ Review & Swatch Plus My Hair Story

What Schwarzkopf says about the Bonacure Moisture Kick Spray Conditioner?
Moisture Kick Spray Conditionder detangles normal to dry or curly hair and infuses it with essential moisture. BC hair therapy with Hyaluronic Acid Derivate and Amino Cell Rebuild technology rebalances the moisture level of the hair and repairs inside the hair cell. For soft supple and nourished hair full of healthy shine and bounce.

Price: 540 INR for 200ml

Availability: I purchased it from Might be available in Professional Hair Salons.

Look & Feel:

  • Texture: The solution looks as a soapy liquid with foam settled at the top. Before spritzing one has to shake the bottle. After shaking, I have noticed that the solution turns cloudy and increases in quantity.
  • Package: Comes in a classy plastic bottle with a convenient spray pump which spritzes the conditioner evenly.
  • Fragrance: Lovely mild floral fragrance which lingers for a day.
  • Harmful Ingredients: Yes has so many silicones and alcoholic ingredients.

My Hair Woes:

Before I begin with the effects of the spray, let me give a brief about the strange behavior of my hair. Seeing my hair in Hair Styling tutorials most of you complimented me for the luxurious hair. Thanks to my genes for the thick hair but it's very dry. Post hair wash, if I leave my hair open for air drying it looks as shown in the picture.

Ignore the untrimmed hair. Postponing hair trimming since long.

The upper layer of my hair is dry and feels very rough to touch. Till now I haven't come across any shampoo/ conditioner/ serum which takes care of this problem. I have to tie my hair when it's semi dry which seals in the moisture.

The day after hair wash is perhaps the best day for my hair. The oils from scalp reach down the hair to the ends. So my hair behaves as I want it to behave. To check my well behaved hair on Day 1 after hair wash you can click here. The second day the conditioning wears off and I will be left with oily scalp and dry rough ends.

The overnight curling methods usually helps to seal in the hair moisture as we dampen and tie the hair together. That's the reason why my hair looked so lustrous and nourished here. So one more reason to prefer the overnight curling methods.

I purchased the Bonacure Moisture Kick Spray Conditioner hoping it would soften the dry ends of my hair. May be it's the price or it's the brand "Schwarzkopf" I did expect it to give me instant feathery soft hair.

  • Moisturizing? Yes it does but it doesn't fully quench the thirst of my hair.
  • Detangles? Even when sprayed on shampooed but not conditioned hair, it did detangle all hairs. I need 8-10 sprays to fully cover my long hair.
  • Frizz Control? If frizz is due to roughness then yes it does tame to some extent. But if it's the problem  of fly-aways then it doesn't help much for the fly-aways to stay in place.
  • Lasting Power? Just a day.
  • Finishing Effect? Adds a soft shine to hair. If you don't have time for hair-wash spraying this helps to freshen the hair.

Final Note: Ok yes it does soften hair but does not fully satisfy my dry hair needs. Indeed if I use a hair conditioner especially the Loreal Liss Ultime Masque then even a drugstore serum gives the same effect. However if you are planning to skip the conditioning step post shampooing then this can be a good Leave In Conditioner. Also it does come in handy on those ' D-Days with No Time for Hair Wash'.
