Look & Feel:

Due to my irregular sleeping patterns I always have dark circles :( and concealer is a staple cosmetic in my base make-up. This is the first concealer I am using that gives a medium to full coverage so when I first applied it I felt my eyes have shrunk!!!. It took a while for me to adjust to the concealed under eyes. But once I set it with compact and applied Kajal I clearly saw how well it has brightened the under eyes. My face looked a lot fresher.

Picture Demo:

On a regular working day which includes 7 hours of working with laptop and 3 hours of journey in pollution I observed that the under eye area stayed as it is for 6-7 hours. After that more than the concealer fading, my eyes got strained and so the freshness decreased. If you want to touch up all you need is a good compact and again eyes would be normal.

Flash Test:
Well most of the concealers and foundations look artificial in photos and especially when clicked using flash. As this particular concealer claims to be PhotoReady lets check the pictures taken using flash.

Left: Bright Lighting + Flash                                                             Right: Dim Lighting + Flash

As you can see in the pictures it's not grayish or too obvious. So well justifies the claim. The only problem is the oiliness as observed in the pictures. It has to be set with a compact in summers else it turns oily and sweaty. Of course even then it doesn't melt or streak :) :) :) . Also it does settle into fine lines but nothing streaky and is almost invisible.

I sweep it directly on the dark circles, wait for a minute for it to set and then pat till it blends using the ring finger. Remember "Pat" is always the mantra to conceal. Don't forget to set with a compact else it turns oily and sweaty.
To build the coverage, swatch a little onto the ring finger and pat on the area.  I have noticed that for building it's better to take a swatch rather than directly applying on the area to avoid going overboard :)

The above pictures are with medium coverage, for almost full coverage pictures check here. I said almost because I need color corrector something in orange or yellow for my complicated dark circles :(.

Nitty-Gritty of PhotoReady Concealer:
  • Texture: Creamy and easy to blend.
  • Shade: Suits Fair - Medium skin tones with yellow undertones.
  • Package: Compact and sturdy.
  • Fragrance: Odourless
  • Coverage: Buildable Medium to Full Concealing.
  • Lasting Power:  6-7 hours
  • Waterproof: Yes

Final Note: I am totally loving this concealer. It's a boon for medium to dark under eye circles. Agreed a little pricey but definitely worth it. Go and get it for fresh bright eyes :)
