Maybelline Dream Touch Blush 05 ~ Review, Swatch and 'On Cheek Clicks'

The first product review from my Maybelline haul is my First Blush Ever :) :) :)

What Maybelline says about Dream Touch Blush:

  • Ultra soft cream-whipped blush
  • Refined color pigments for better color payoff
  • Ultra blendable, it melts into your skin effortlessly
  • A lighter than air fell on skin and an all-day freshly applied look
Price:  375 INR for 7.5g

Look & Feel:

I wanted my first blush to be subtle, natural and something that I can wear every day. I asked the SA to apply both the shades 05( Peach ) and 07 ( Plum ) on each cheek. I checked under sunlight and noticed that peach added that soft glow I very much wanted for every day use so without any second thoughts I  grabbed the Peach shade :).

On Lighter Usage

What I missed to notice then is the subtle shimmer. If you are into 'Highlighters' you are going to love this blush  for the shimmer highlights the cheeks so well :).  But if you want to build the color by adding more blush it increases the shimmery shine more than the color. For me it's a con as I prefer matte to shimmers on face but no complains against Maybelline as it hasn't claimed to be Matte.

Heavy Usage

As suggested by Maybelline, I use my finger tips to apply this blush and I must say I am totally impressed by the smooth creamy texture of it. It blends into the skin effortlessly in no time just as it has claimed :). It lasts for about 5 hours on my normal to dry skin and later disappears in a non messy way. I was surprised to see that as long as it stays on the skin it's not only transfer resistant but also resistant to 'Scarf Tie Up' on a hot summer day.

Quick Look:
  • Texture: Smooth, creamy and shimmery.
  • Package: Cute glass jar packing
  • Fragrance: None
  • Shade: Peachy pink
  • Lasting Power: 5 hours
  • Finish: Soft rosy cheeks on light usage. Rosy highlighted cheeks on heavier usage.
  • Suitable For: Fair to Medium Skin Tones

Final Note:  Totally justifies all the claims except for the 'All Day' lasting power.  I just wish to have the same shade with same quality without shimmers. But for the 'Blush & Highlight' lovers it's definitely a must have dual purpose blush :).
