What Maybelline says about the Dream Matte Pressed Powder?
Price: 475 INR for 9g
Most of the readers must have already known that I have dry skin. Then why did I buy a mattifying powder? Well, my T-zone is no exception to oiliness during summers. So my sole reason of purchasing this, is to have a fresh face for a longer time. Did the Dream Matte fulfil the claims?
Look & Feel:
How I Use?
- Formula is jet-milled into ultra-fine particles for an air-soft, ultra-silky texture.
- The suede-touch puff smoothes onto skin evenly, effortlessly, for the most beautiful matte perfection.

Look & Feel:
- Texture: True to it's claims it has air-soft, ultra-silky texture.
- Package: Stylish, convenient and sturdy. Swivelling dual compartments for the product and the applicator. It also comes with a useful mirror.
- Fragrance: Odourless
- Shade: Cream Light( 4-5 )
- Applicator: The puff given feels rough on face. I use my vega foundation sponge to apply this compact.
Effects:
- Coverage? It gives the lightest coverage possible. I observed the same when the SA swatched the compact on my forehead, but I still purchased it counting on the mattifying claim.

L2R: Unblended to Blended |
- Mattefy? When applied it does set the foundation but it lasts only for an hour. Post which I can clearly feel the oils building up on my T-zone. So totally disappointed with the Matte claim.
- Drying? This is the only good thing. It doesn't dry skin or worsen flakes on it's own.
- Lasting Power? 3-4 hours.
How I Use?
I use it just for touch ups as it slightly absorbs oils without building up the coverage. Honestly it's just a work around to finish the product.
Cost Effective? No
Final Note: It's a total waste of money. For the same price one can get much effective pressed powders/ compacts. Ladies with oily skin type don't fall for the 'Dream Matte' claim.
