Avon Solutions Hydra Radiance Revitalizing Toner ~ Review and Swatch

What Avon says about Solutions Hydra Radiance Toner:
This new alochol-free hydrating toner hydrates and conditions skin while effectively removing last traces of oil, makeup and residue. Specially formulated with Hydra-Maximizer, it does not only purify skin, but also instantly hydrates skin. It leaves skin feeling fresh, balanced and revitalized. Dermatologist-tested. Hypo-allergenic. Suitable for sensitive skin.

Price:  249 INR. Purchased in offer @199 INR

Look & Feel:

  • Texture:  Appears cloudy through the bottle but as a swatch it's transparent. Has the consistency of water.
  • Fragrance: Mild Aqua + Floral smell which is refreshing but vanishes in 30 minutes.
  • Package: Very sturdy plastic bottle which is convenient during travelling but it's too hard to press so have to wait for each drop to dampen the cotton.
  • Refreshing: Doesn't give a cooling sensation like an alcoholic toner but gives the refreshment of a fresh water splash.
Claims Justification:
  • Toning? It gives that healthy taut to skin without stretchy feeling :). I did notice the reduction in the size of the pores on nose.
  • Hydrating? Very good. Reduces the amount of moisturizer needed.
  • Cleansing? It does and the proof is the traces of dirt I notice on the cotton wool.
  • Revitalizing? All I have to say is I love touching my skin after toning :)
  • Hypo-allergenic? My skin is not hyper sensitive but I didn't observe any break outs and dry patches :)
Skin Types and the Effects:
  • Normal Skin: Gives a soft silky skin without the need of a moisturizer. Face stays fresh for a longer time.
  • Dry Skin:  This is a right toner to tighten skin without drying. Just a little bit of extra moisturizer and you will get smooth skin.
  • Oily Skin:  Though it's not meant for Oily Skin, it worked well for the oily area on my neck. It controlled the oil production to a major extent. But use at your own risk as the skin on neck would be thicker and less sensitive than facial skin.

Final Note:  Effective non-alcoholic toner. I am glad I bought it at the right time of the season :). I can happily skip moisturizer and directly use a sunscreen at day time :)

  16. Vish, while going through all your posts, I have seen this post regarding 'Non alcoholic toner '. I have a doubt regarding it. As far as i know, a toner is used in between cleansing and moisturizing, to close the pores and even the tone. I heard that there wouldn't be much use of Non-Alcoholic toner when compared to that of the alcoholic one. So, what do you prefer? Is it okay to get along with non-alcoholic toner to have complete results of a 'Toner' ? Please do reply, will be waiting! Thank you!
